Assistance
If you need assistance in Midtjyllands Airport, please be aware that it needs to be ordered at the Airline Company or at the travel agency, when you purchase your ticket. The airport will then be informed automatically, that you need assistance on your journey.
PLEASE NOTE! ASSISTANCE MUST BE ORDERED AT LEAST 48 HOURS BEFORE DEPARTURE!
THE ASSISTANCE IS FOR THOSE WHO:
- Need help getting to/from the Aircraft
- Need help getting in or off the Aircraft
- Need to bring an oxygen flask onboard the aircraft
- Use a wheelchair
- Have impaired hearing or sight
- Bring a seeing eye dog
- The check-in time for assistance is 40mins before departure
- When you arrive at the airport you must – unless something else has been agreed upon – contact the airport information desk in the departure hall.
- Here you will meet a representative of the Airport, who will make sure you will get the pre-agreed assistance.
- Check-in will be at the check-in desks at the departure hall
- If needed you will be guided through security, where the personnel is trained to check people with special needs discreetly
- You will be guided from the gate to the Aircraft
If you need assistance from the handicap parking space or the Airport bus stop, the Airport needs to be contacted at least 24 hours before departure on 96 62 51 00.
Please inform name, date and flight no.
HANDICAP FRIENDLY AIRPORT
- There are 4 specially designed toilets for wheelchair users distributed on both floors.
- There are 4 parking spaces in front of the departure hall (close to check-in), these are reserved for handicap marked vehicles, they are free and without a time limit.
- The Revolving doors at departure and Arrival, has a button to slow the speed of the doors.
- There are level floors without doorsteps on both floors
- There are a elevator and escalators to and from the first floor
- Large windows so all can enjoy the view
- Exit to the Aircraft are via wide ramps with wheelchair friendly tilt and antiskid surface
