In October 2006 the EU updated the rules about liquids in cabin baggage. Following quantities must be brought on board:
You can carry medicine, baby food and fluids as part of a diet if needed in you cabin baggage during the flight. Be aware that the security staff may ask for proof of authenticity of the liquids. The transparent bag with liquids and possibly medicine etc. must be shown at the security.
You may carry liquids in quantities greater than listed above in your checked baggage
