AIS ceases AIS ceases to operate on the Karup-Copenhagen route
Due to uncertainty regarding AIS's ability to operate the domestic route Karup-Copenhagen, the Airport's board has chosen to terminate the cooperation with AIS. AIS last flew from Karup on 27 June 2025 and there is no immediate prospect that AIS will be able to commence scheduled flights in the near future, which is why the board has felt compelled to terminate the cooperation.
However, the board would like to thank AIS for its cooperation - and acknowledge that AIS stepped in at short notice at a time when the airport was experiencing difficulties.
The airport is expected to have new owners as of 1 October, and the new owners will work to find alternative route operators
